I did a little more work on this painting… Next I’ll mix up some glazes for it. I was thinking about trying out counter top finisher, which is a two-part epoxy that dries clear, perhaps setting the whole piece under a layer of tinted model railroad water. We’ll see. My current top coat is a fairly similar substance.
I’m also thinking about bringing my Sterling — the kit car with the lifting top — back here (it’s at someone else’s shop right now) and finishing it myself. There’s not a lot left to be done, but I do want to build a custom interior (a one-piece wrap-around deal) which fits in nicely with all the other foam/ply/glass projects that are on the go here.
