Women Salting Their Husbands (II)

I did a little more work on this painting… Next I’ll mix up some glazes for it. I was thinking about trying out counter top finisher, which is a two-part epoxy that dries clear, perhaps setting the whole piece under a layer of tinted model railroad water. We’ll see. My current top coat is a fairly similar substance.

I’m also thinking about bringing my Sterling — the kit car with the lifting top — back here (it’s at someone else’s shop right now) and finishing it myself. There’s not a lot left to be done, but I do want to build a custom interior (a one-piece wrap-around deal) which fits in nicely with all the other foam/ply/glass projects that are on the go here.

Damnit, Shannon, now I want a kit car! Man, the fun I could have tooling around the Northern California freeways with something like that!

You should get one — they’re WAY cheaper than most regular cars and have better mileage.

    Shannon-

It’s tempting. My plan, though, is to get an older Toyota pickup and do a propane conversion on it. That’s been a dream of mine for a long time, and is slightly more feasible for a busy student.

    Some day, right?

I once had a Toyota, it was fantastic. Now I drive a cj-5, and it’s expensive.

Wow Shannon, that's really annoying! What is it, 1997 on Geocities? Retroweb is NOT cool!
