Another goofy poll

OK, most instead of whining that most of these poll questions are lame, I'll be diplomatic and say most of them don't apply to me… But I think I'll give it a go anyway.

  1. Have you ever smoked products that aren't normally made for smoking?
No, but I have smoked things that I shouldn't smoke… And I swallowed chewing tobacco when I was a kid and puked at school.
  2. What do you think is the best feature on your body?
People tell me they like my eyes; I don't know if that's a cop-out. Personally I like my hand tattoos.
  3. What would you change about yourself?
Like most people I could be in better shape and all that, but I have no real problems with who I am.
  4. Who's your favorite of the Seven Dwarfs?
I didn't even know there was a difference between them.
  5. Do you like ice?
Sure, I live in Canada for chrissake.
  6. What's your name again?
    Shannon.
  7. Do you have any jewelry you wear all the time?
    My earrings.
  8. How many holes do you have in your body that you weren't born with?
Three. I've had plenty more, but those three will never go away.
  9. Describe your favorite undergarment:
I have about forty pairs of relatively identical boxer shorts. I can't claim a favorite.
  10. Would you ever consider decorating your room with blowup pink flamingos?
There's way too much crap in here already.
  11. Have you ever worn plaid and stripes together?
I don't think I own anything that has either of those two things. So not only have I not worn them together, I haven't warn them apart.
  12. Have you ever stolen any road signs?
Again, I have way too much crap in here already. What do I want with some old road sign?
  13. Do you think bald heads are sexy?
Sure, but I like long hair better.
  14. Do you own a black-light?
Nope. I don't even have lightbulbs in half the rooms in my house. At night I walk around here with a flashlight (I'm not kidding).
  15. What's on your mouse pad?
    Frank by Jim Woodring.
  16. Do your parents still have sex?
Highly unlikely, at least not with each other.
  17. What kinda guy/girl are you looking for?
I'm not looking, but I'm pretty easy: Someone who's nice to me and accepts my fairly extreme irrational behavior. Someone who's interesting and intelligent. And I'll admit that I don't think I could be with someone who isn't extremely attractive.
  18. What's the last finger food you ate?
    Wings. About four hours ago.
  19. Do you take more than three showers a week, be honest?
It's not unusual for me to take three showers a day. I take at least one a day even in a worst case scenario.
  20. What size shoe do you wear?
I have no idea. I don't think I've ever bought my own shoes or boots. I hadn't even bought my own pants until about two years ago.
  21. Have you ever touched yourself in a public place?
I'm barely ever in public places, so no.
  22. Have you ever been drunk off your ass?
    Almost every day.
  23. Are you male, female, or both?
    Male.
  24. What's your favorite cereal?
I don't eat cereal much. Occasionally I eat granola and yoghurt.
  25. Do you wash your own clothes?
    Yes. I enjoy the vacation.
  26. Do you have a journal or a diary?
What did you think this was, braniac?
  27. Do strangers have the best candy?
    It's a safe assumption.
  28. Who's your daddy?
He's pretty much an older and crazier version of me.
  29. When your on the phone, do you use the bathroom; do you tell the person or keep it a secret?
Why would I do any of those things?
  30. What's your sign?
    Libra.
  31. Do you want fries with that?
    Sure. And Mayonaise.
  32. Do you ever sit and stare at the blank TV screen?
    No, that sounds horrible.
  33. Have you ever loved someone so much it made you cry?
Who hasn't? Maybe I should say who doesn't?
  34. Have you ever failed a grade?
I failed French twice in highschool, and failed about half my courses in university.
  35. If you were to be given an ice cube, chocolate syrup, and whipped cream, what would you do with it?
    Pass them on.
  36. Who is your favourite actor/actress?
Oh, I have no idea. I think I can genuinely say that I've enjoyed pretty much everything Johnny Depp has been in. Actress is trickier… I'll substitute favorite for most appealing and right now I'll say Julie Delpy.
  37. What was the biggest city you have ever lived in?
Toronto. Unless Philadelphia is bigger, but I think Toronto is.
  38. What was the last movie you watched?
I watched Family Man on the airplane. It was not my decision.
  39. What is your favourite school subject?
Performance art. I can't believe that's even a subject, but it is.
  40. How many people are on your messenger list?
I have six people on my IAM.alive list.

Good news

Finally, some good news! First, I just finished an update. Second, the bank got back to us today and it looks like our merchant number went through, so we may not have to go with 3rd party processing. I guess I'll spend the next days writing up some specs for the programmers! At least if I can get off this painting kick:

Oh, and my cyborg name is S.H.A.N.N.O.N.: Synthetic Hydraulic Android Normally for Nullification and Online Negotiation. Wow, is that accurate or what?!

My Hawaiian name is Kanonu Lalaka which is less exciting. My US name is Jose O'Brien, and my Wu-Name is Merry Desperado.

Of course, it's not as funny as my EMO name (.gloomy.with.dejection.) or my AOL name — “shannon lunatic” <KittenoxTHC@aol.com>

Painting

Well, it's mostly done. I was trying to achieve the childlike look that the murals you see on the walls around construction sites. If it's not obvious, it's an Amsterdam canal. I think it's turning out nicely, but then, I've been drinking since I woke up so really, what do I know?

PS. I can paint realistic portraits when I want to; this looks like this because it's how I think it should look, not because I'm four years old.

Left-to-Right

Canon Faxphone – This is the ancient machine I still use. It's been dropped a lot, and can't print any more because the cover doesn't close, and has trouble feeding paper. But still, it's very reliable and a solid machine… plus it has some sort of emotional attachment with me: Long ago, when I was 16 or so, before BME or PsyberCity, or anything else, I had a job writing control software for Canon standalones. This was before the days of faxmodems!

Agwa – I got this drink pretty much as a joke, and it provided me great amusement to see people at the BBQs do shots of it. However, a couple days ago I mixed it with soda for the first time… MY GOD IS IT GOOD! You can't taste any alcohol, and it gives the soda a wonderful subtle glowing taste.

Paint – Sometimes I stop painting for years, but it always resurfaces. I restocked lately, so when the whim hits me now, there's nothing to stop me.

Dreams

Normally I don't remember them, but I had a few last night… First I dreamed that Caitlin and I were designing a huge multi-dome house that had a monkey reserve on the inside. Then I dreamed that I'd borrowed a Diablo and it got damaged my all the potholes in my driveway. Then I ran into Saira's boyfriend Michael pissing in my backyard and we talked about installing a hottub in the empty lot behing my house.

The update is going well, I have around 1000 images going up in a few hours. Applications were faxed in to the CC processors, so at least the FULL BME memberships will be back up shortly (extreme2 and stuff like that may be longer).
