I’ve really had a remarkable amount of energy today and all things considered, I feel good, good enough not just for real life but for online life as well. Fingers crossed that it continues, but either way it’s a welcome and enjoyed change. I had some emails from friends who were concerned that I’d given up on life and I just wanted to say that when I cut my blogging to zero during the difficult periods, it just means that blogging is low on my priority list, not life altogether. Please don’t worry. Although the clock is ticking faster than I would like — and it is for all of us I suppose — I still have a joy filled life.
And today some of that joy came from having a set of plastic playing cards.

Awesome! Indoor swimming AND playing cards you can use in the pool! I hope the pool helps your leg pain?
Glad to see you’re doing better, at least for a bit! Also glad to know you’re still up and about, even if the blog’s been scarce.
I love reading this blog, but please, have no second thoughts about spending time in the real world rather than online!
Bet that indoor pool felt good what with todays heat wave!!!!
Was it hot today? We didn’t swim at all, in fact, said pool was drained, scrubbed and is in the middle of being refilled right now.
I spent an entire Frank Zappa cd sitting in it on my own, yesterday, singing along and brushing out 3 different Barbie’s hair. If anyone had seen me doing that…oh man.
Sometimes you just have to go into your cave and conserve your energy–good to see you up and about!
Glad to see your enjoying life a bit there bro. Ill or not we should all take a little time to enjoy our selves a little more.
Also plastic playing cards!
not only good for a swimming pool but also great for a drunken game of cards when people keep knocking over there drinks!
Loving the drowned Barbie fairy.
Also, Ari giving the finger.
Caitlin. You’re great. Your posts always make me chuckle!! :-)
Certainly not one to demand the impossible, and really wish you the heartfelt best during tough times..
But for those who have followed you avidly for years or know you and feel for you, or even willingly contribute monetary donations to your causes ..how much energy does a couple of sentences and hitting enter really cost?
Sorry if i don’t follow the norm of well wishing only. More of a question really..
Im sure the following comments will reflect if I’m being an ass or not. Curiosity killed the cat.
Non the less, get better dude. You are loved and required here.
JD, Shannon doesn’t owe you anything! Tsts.
i am so glad to hear you are feeling better! enjoy, my friend.
Princesses dont have shorn locks! *cries*
JD, that’s not really on. Shannon’s unwell, his family has first priority for his limited energy, quite rightly, and as Hannah says, he doesn’t owe us anything. If he says it’s too hard for him to blog, it’s too hard for him to blog. Give him a break.
This comment doesn’t really have anything to do with anything other than the fact I hadn’t read your blog in a long time until today. I’m just another one of those long time lurkers. I’ve been following your life and looking up to you since I was 16, so for about 10 years now. What you made of BME and what it stood for is absolutely amazing to me. It truly helped me become the person I am today. I understood and got to know myself so much better after finding BME and IAM. I can’t even imagine how my life would have turned out without it. I guess after all this time I just felt the need to say thank you for everything you have done for this community and all the people like me you’ve helped. I hope your life continues to bring you as much joy as you have brought others.
