Some Toronto airshow pictures

Ah, cult of the military industrial complex, how I love thee… We were at the CNE today (I’ll post about that tomorrow if I do — it’s been a very long day, because after the CNE I spent an hour and a half dragging three girls around at the pool), and most of the day included jets roaring over our heads — aerobatic teams from the US Navy, and the Canadian military as well, plus shows with an F-22 and much more. We even got to see a condensation “bubble” form around one of the jets as it went transsonic, the first time I’d ever seen that. It was hard to get much of a photo of the planes because of the distance, speed, and the fact that one is looking straight at the sun most of the time.

the pictures look awesome and, I suppose, there was no accident during the show.
I noticed that pretty much every time such shows are mentioned on TV, it’s always connected to accidents and pilots dying. One can get an impression that there’s always at least one death at an air show.

Air show was pretty fun. It was amazing to see the F-22. Also amazing is that the F-22 is already almost a 20 year old jet. I wonder what the heck they are currently developing……

Wow Shannon, that's really annoying! What is it, 1997 on Geocities? Retroweb is NOT cool!
