We just got back from a five day road trip through Ontario. We went to Ottawa to visit my brother and Nefarious’s cousins, and then went up to Lake Dore near Algonquin Park and also stopped to see the Bonnechere caves, and then went to Belleville for some back-to-school shopping and then further south to Prince Edward Point which has beautiful flat stones stepping out into Lake Ontario, where we saw a few water snakes and Nefarious caught a number of frogs, and we climbed Macaulay Mountain as well. Lots of swimming and exploring and a ton of driving. That’s the very short version of course, but I wanted to get a last road trip into the summer before Tuesday’s surgery. After that there’s the CNE and school starts again…

Catching frogs will always be one of the highlights of my childhood. Pretty cool trip. I never really explored much of Ontario outside of Toronto. I probably should someday, but my wife needs to get her passport, and that’s complicated.
Greg has that exact same BME shirt!!!!!!
Nothing but positive thoughts for your surgery!!!!
Fantastic skyline photo. Me and Johnny skipped the caves last time we were there, but did explore some of the backroads on our way home from Ottowa, it proved to be very beautiful.
Great shots! Good vibrations going out on the whole surgery thing. Ohmmmmmmmmmm. :)
I hope your surgery goes well Shannon. I’ll be thinking of you.
Where are those caverns? Seems familiar but I can’t place it. That’s someplace I’d love to go!
The caves are neat, but not really worth the money they charge ($38 for the three of us).
Well, it sure beats the 21.50$ each that Scenic Caves at Blue Mountain charges. We went once and then headed out to Kimberly on our own to find our own caves and crevasses to explore. For free. ;) Thanks for the link, Shannon, I’d like to go there one day.
I wish you well with your surgery, my friend.
