Since people said to start a blog on the subject, I fired one up. So say hello to DamnDirtyDoctors.com. I need your help getting content for the site of course, so please pass it on to anyone who you think can help, or take some “spy photos” of your own. If there’s an interest, I’ll gladly maintain the site and keep it going (and make it look a bit nicer than it does now).
All submissions are anonymous of course. I would hate to see someone lose their medical care because a pissed off doctor gets angry when their negligence gets pointed out. Let’s hope I don’t get sued BTW… Doctors — and their insurance companies especially — have deep pockets when it comes to legal bills.
Oh, and I added some “ducks” yesterday as well. Both sites could use your help of course, as both are reader-written… you decide which is more important to you!

HAH – that is an awesome idea, and I will be submitting for sure – do you just want physical evidence, or are you also taking accounts of gross negligence? As for suing – if you don’t name names, and remove identifying marks from photos, I don’t think there’s much that can be done – and most of us can figure out the who or where amongst ourselves. After all, plenty of doctors have blogs detailing their more interesting cases, using all but names, and no suing or firing is going on there… I say it’s only fair that we (the patients) can do the same…
While I’d hate to look a gift horse in the mouth, but there are problems with free clinics too. I dont have the money for health insurance so I go to a free clinic. And no gloves really makes me cringe :(
Good idea. I think theres a fine line between pointing the finger on somebody to change grievances and sneaking someone. (hope its written right…). In controversies about bad bodymod-studios comes up the argument “but the docs arent better then us..” every time, that bothers me. But i think your site has a totaly different intention.

I had an experience several years ago with a dental assistant who dropped an instrument on their carpeted floor and picked it up and tried to use it in my mouth. ick.
