After a classmate’s birthday party, I took Nefarious and a friend of hers down to the lake where they bravely waded and hopped from rock to rock. Yes, of course she has been thoroughly washed since, seeing as I’m not so sure how much sewage — human or swan — was in there with them.

yeah, lakes in OH freak me out because I know how polluted they are…though I suppose that could be said about many lakes surrounded by humans
And it’s still disturbingly chilly for June as well! Maybe it’s my memory, I always remember June being blistering hot when I was in school!
