You’re likely bored of it by now, but Caitlin took these pictures of Nefarious and I testing out the flotation qualities of the Minimax… I like the photo of Nefarious’s little boat in our boat, and also the pictures of us taking turns paddling. It was also a lot of fun pushing her out into the water and letting her paddle back to shore. I realize this is getting repetitive, but I can’t wait until the engine is installed. I’ve already got boat #2 designed, and I’ve done everything from the point of view of someone with no construction experience (simple shapes, limited tools required, uniformity of fasteners, etc.), so I’ll be posting plans and instructions which I hope will be quite useful.

I like the kayak with the dog telling the human where to go in one of the pictures.
Be sure to get PFD’s before you get far from the beach. As soon as the cops decide it’s a boat, rather than a beach toy, if you don’t have a PFD for each person on-board, you get ticketed. Around here, they go out mostly on holiday weekends hunting easy cash.
No worries — we picked up life jackets a couple days ago.
Shannon,
You should put an electric trolling motor on this boat.. it would move it really well and they are cheap.. about $100.00
Your boat is amazing man, I didn’t think it would be possible, well done!
Also, dig the beard, I know from experience that growing a beard like that requires just as much discipline and effort as some body mods.
That is so the awesome!
