Real?

Cory from BoingBoing wrote a great article last month on “Writing in the Age of Distraction“. It’s all good advice. For now though, I’m getting distracted by the most recent season of Survivor… and then Hell’s Kitchen… I have such a weakness for reality TV. Other than that, Saira and Leila came over today for a couple hours of Rock Band — it’s a whole different game with a group.

  1. A crazy thought just popped into my head. I used to love watching Bob Ross paint. His show, and Bob himself, was so mellow and relaxing. How about videotaping yourself doing a painting? I’m going to guess that your paintings take several hours, however, so how about doing it as a sort of time lapse/hyper speed? It would look cool but also, from a technical point of view, it would be interesting to witness your creative process in motion.

    man, i hate reality TV…
but its easy to get sucked in.
i try to limit myslef to the ultra bizarre celebreality stuff, but i loathe the ‘made-up’ celebs whos main claim to fame is being on a string of crap reality shows.

celebrity rehab is a guilty pleasure. my GF also tempts me with ace of cakes and other cooking/baking shows. damn!

but my favorite is Gangland, which is less of a realityTV crapfest and more documentary in style. go FSU!!
