Keeping busy, I’ve started posting interviews from my upcoming book on male genital modification. They’re all in pre-publication form — one of the reasons I’m posting them is that I’m dragging my feet on editing them, and I hope that having them public will (a) motivate me to work harder, and (b) generate helpful editing from people who read the interviews. So please, if this interests you, post your suggestions and corrections, from small typos on up to full overhauls.

Via my car site, I also met an interesting person — a designer of early kit cars (including a couple of my favorites) that sold about a thousand way-ahead-of-their-time electric cars in the seventies and eighties, until he was — he claims — shut down by FBI/Cointelpro… I think he’s definitely got a book in him! I think I’ll email him now and see if he’d like a ghostwriter.
My father (you know him here and elsewhere as “starbadger” — that’s him below from the paradise I grew up in), who taught me everything I know about working hard, is embarking on a new project as well. BodModSex.com is fabulous! I have really missed this kind of scholarly journalism from BME. I love the inquisitive and informative nature when you cover topics that most are afraid to touch. While I don’t have any extreme genital mods (just a PA), I greatly enjoy reading about the more intense endeavors people take. I think this is a great move for you and I am going to follow the shit out of it! Kudos to you for showing the world that you don’t need BME to retain your journalistic integrity.
Thanks :) And like I said, it’s to no small extent there because I’m seeking help in making these relatively raw/unedited interviews the best they can be for print publication, so any constructive/destructive feedback is super helpful.
Cool I will have to keep reading them and let you know any comments I have. Have you ever tried to get back on IAM, or is that bridge kind of burned for you? I think its bullshit I can’t get content like this beyond your articles on BME.

Since I was deleted/banned from IAM, I definitely don’t feel at all welcome there from either the staff or from the members who I’ve seen plenty of insulting commentary from… BME has definitely taken a strongly “anti-Shannon” stance so it’s not a place I’d choose to hang out these days.
Fair enough. Well don’t forget that there are a lot of people who aren’t the dumbasses who have been there for a month that hang on every slanderous word posted about you. You have created the greatest community of modification in history, and there are a lot of good people who haven’t forgot you. I was pissed when you got booted, but I figure pulling my stuff just hurts you more than helps you. I will proudly continue to submit to and support the site in respect to you and the great website you created. Unlike some who may have forgotten who made all of BME possible, I hope that a lot of people will continue to improve the site in spite of the management in honor of your massive contribution (that has changed my life and so many others). I support BME because I support your gift to me and the rest of the community, so I hope you don’t misconstrue my undying support as apathy to your situation. It’s the least I can do to try to keep your memory and legacy alive and well within the most powerful temple of modification. But I will continue to support all of your other projects to the best of my ability. You are not forgotten at IAM, atleast not by me

This may seem odd, and out of place, but I was reading through your new years resolutions and I was intrigued by your plans to write a children’s book. If you already have ideas and plans, then ignore this, but I’m really interested in working with you. I can’t say I’m a published writer, but everyone has to start somewhere. It would seem I have a talent for creative writing, so I figure there is no reason for me to offer my services. If you are at all interested, contact me. I have a three year old son, and it would be amazing to be able to give him something I’ve written, and I absolutely love your illustrations. I don’t know what else to say, so I’ll just say I hope to here from you.
