Hard to type!

I had another long day at the hospital… after a six month wait for one specialist, a month and a half for the bone doctor that did my surgery, and my own family doctor being out of town for a couple months, I ended up at emergency where I waited from 9:30 until 2:30 to see a doctor. So boring. I read Artie Lang’s autobiography cover-to-cover during the wait. I didn’t really get into it but it was mostly a present for Caitlin who is a fan, and it did inspire me to get back to work on my own writing. I also have a fun kids book project in the works with my father (him writing, me illustrating) that I am looking forward to a lot. Don’t think I’m in any way “down” about my medical boredom, because I’m not.

My keyboard on my computer is all shorted out… I spilled a big cup of tea on my computer when I got home and keys are intermittently failing and (worse) locking in a down-state. Hopefully it’s the sort of malfunction that just fixes itself. Nefarious was happy to play Little Big Planet while I did an emergency dismantling and drying of my trusty laptop. I’m really impressed at how well she’s picked it up — my brother and I just played “Bruce Jenner’s Decathlon” which didn’t involve much more than hitting ‘[' and ']‘ over and over as fast as possible. She is much more advanced.

For the computer: try rinsing it out with alcohol. Obviously, you don’t want to use too much, and don’t get shocked, but it should get most of the gunk (which is making the keys stick) out, and will evaporate much faster and cleaner than water. Good luck!

  4. I managed to get a laptop to run after some goon spilled a pitcher of beer through it so I have faith in you!
(same goon followed this spill with a 2 liter bottle of iced tea not long after *sigh*).

Can’t believe how big Nefarious is getting! Stop growing up child! you’re making me feel old!
