I just got my softcover copy of the “Opening Up” book of interviews on body modification and it really turned out marvelously. I’m so happy with it! The print quality is really nice — including the numerous photos — and the binding and cover look good as well. A super library addition!!!
It comes in at a hefty 460 pages and about 250,000 words (wow, eh), so it’ll take you a while to get through this book. It contains the majority of interviews I did while running BME (other interviews and essays will be in a future book). At only $19.99 it’s definitely a deal I think — the biggest book of interviews on the subject that’s available from anyone. Are the photos in b/w or in colour?
OMG!!!! I went to the site to order it, but the prices for shipping to Brazil are ridiculous!! Economy shipping is $19.96 (i can buy 2 books with it) but it’s not a very good way to order by it i think, standard is $161,19… -.- For this price I’ll need to stay with the PDF… the price of the book is a deal, but the shipping is too much for me. =[
Yeah, shipping is a little crazy! That said, even their economy shipping is FedEx and pretty fast.
Other than the cover, purely B&W photos… Doing colour is VERY expensive in comparison, and since this is 99% text, I wanted to keep the cost down.
I suppose I could have just looked at the photos above, haha.
