Caitlin did her own makeup and Nefarious’s makeup, and helped me get my appliance glued on and then I did the remainder of my makeup. It was all done with a mix of regular face paint makeup, fake blood, liquid latex, and a latex appliance and spirit glue. The last three photos were taken after we returned, so as you can see it survived pretty well.

You guys did well!
You all look so awesome!
Brilliant, all of you! I love the autopsy scar on Caitlin and your gouged out eyes!!! Nefarious is seriously so adorable!
Wow, your eyes are intense!
You all make fine zombies. :)
Hello Shannon, I’ve been a big fan of all your sites for a while, BME changed my life when I was 15, I just wanted to say that you are the perfect example of the type of daddy I want to be, I just learned this week that my girlfriend is pregnant! I really like all the things you do with your daughter, its inspiring!
Hey Shannon – how on earth did you make the gouged out eyes? I’d love to do that for Halloween. Any chance of a how-to/FAQ?
Found this on ThinkGeek.com. Thought it was relevant (and awesome!)
The eyes were really easy to do. It’s a latex “mask” (like a beauty/sleep mask in shape) with the eyes molded into it — I bought it at Malabar but you could make your own if you wanted, and black mesh to hide your actual eyes. You glue it on with spirit glue, blend the edges with liquid latex, and then apply makeup over the whole thing and your face. I’d actually use heavier makeup if I was going to do it again to hide the transition between latex and skin better.
I actually saw a couple people with the same face as me, which was a little embarrassing in the “you’re wearing the same prom dress as me” sort of way. I took pictures of some of the process and can post a full entry on that later today.
Your mask is seriously scary!
The customs of all of you are really cool!
Awesome, very creative costumes.I like that you all maintained the same theme but had individual different twists to your characters.
