Asparagus, red shepherd pepper, and yellow zucchini with long grain and wild rice and cod in dill, lime, salt, and garlic. That’s it. Very simple, very easy.
Other than that, I’m really trying to wrap my head around how McCain is leading in the latest polls… I mean, it’s mind-boggling that Bush can have basically zero support, the country is heading toward ruin, and people are still seriously considering voting for not just “more of the same“, but worse — I mean, really, do you want an unstable moron who’s main claim to fame came from being bottom of his class and then crashing his plane over and over until he got tossed in a tiger cage? Someone who’s obsessed with saber rattling and risky gambling when a pile of other nations are ready to pounce? Real bright. Part of me thinks there’s some grand polling/voting conspiracy, but realistically I think people may be that dumb.
Here in Canada there’s a federal election coming up at about the same time and the Conservative party has been running ridiculous — and very creepy — ads of Stephen Harper talking about how much he loves his kids (the section that starts at 3:30 in this clip is an example of what they’re running). Not a word about his politics, which certainly echoes the US way of running politics. I hope that people up here don’t buy it, but I’m afraid they might. Personally I couldn’t care less what a politician does in their private life. I’m not electing them to do the right thing for their family, I’m electing them to do the right thing for the country.
We have a great NDP Candidate in our riding that I hope will be re-elected.

those harper ads are really disturbing. it seems so phony and he looks super uncomfortable.
Creepiest and most forced smile ever!
His eyes are too close together. And small.
With Obama and McCain both running anti-Bush campaigns, I really want to ask Bush “So, how does it feel being the most hated president in US history, and possibly one of the most hated men in the world right now?”
But anyone that can’t see straight through McCain, must have issues.
Probably voting NDP here too. The Conservatives piss me off, and Dion isn’t much better.
I dont want to talk about it, here is me, not talking about it. HRMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
I hear the word about as you Canadians say it,(aboot) have been hearing it that way since my Sister in law’s visit when we were discussing how FUNNY ya’ll pronounce that word. But then, I say ya’ll. Sure do!
Well, I think that since McCain and Bush have the same policies and same voting record, I don’t think that it’s an anti-Bush campaign — if anything, he seems to be running a “more Bush-y than Bush” campaign!
If McCain wins I am moving my family to Canada! Sarah Palin is just awful.
Oh damnit. Yes, clearly with the Palin choice it is definately a far less sane and intelligent platform and sadly, this has broad appeal.
Ack. Dont do that! Nooooooooooo. Now to wash the ick outta my hair. I see a triumph of the better! I see a people, not sheeple!
If we get another Republican, I’m moving to Canada. End of story.
Nothing will change unless Congress is replaced, Graft is outlawed, The President gets the Line Item Veto back, and Earmarks are banned.
These are factors that make a bad president worse!
Until then, good riddance. More room for me!
Wow. “We’re better off with Harper” What a tagline. Why don’t they just say “Hey vote for our guy! He’s not great, but the lesser of two evils!” which we all know is not true.
I REALLY hope that McCain doesn’t get in, or I will lose all faith in the America.
I agree with gracie, canada here i come. Its shocking to me too that americans will vote for McCain, but thats the country i live in. Then again its always between a giant Douche and a Turd sandwich
Gracie and Laure, of course i wouldnt know what weather you are white or not but you might get a kick out of this https://stuffwhitepeoplelike.com/2008/02/24/75-threatening-to-move-to-canada/
lol
I don’t want either Barak or John in the Oral Office. I may not know a lot about politics but a few things I don’t feel comfortable with:
* both favor free trade agreements (which have taken jobs away)
*John’s expressions in photos either look like he’s constipated or looking into space as if there is nothing going on in his head.
*Barak’s pictures look like his smile is hiding something he’s done wrong.
Then both candidates went with the obvious choice for VP – Barak needed to have the old vote and John needed the ladies’ vote.
(and I’m concerned at how quick and popular Barak became. Combine that with his sparkling clean past and storybook relationship – and his need to use a text message to announce the VP — he reminds me of Mr. Saxon and that Archangel network and how that played a part in being elected p.m. ;P But then again, I wonder who’d get that reference :P )
LOL thank you Kyle, that made my day
Ha ha no problem that websites awesome.
man mccain gets in and all of a suden canadas going to have there new illegal alien problem of all the americans pouring out of the country. lol
