No, I didn’t sustain some terrible chest injury… I just covered up with bandages so I didn’t have to swim with a shirt. Someone needs to bring “censor bandages” to market. I’m sure there are lots of people with tattoos that aren’t appropriate for all ages (or are politically awkward — white power tattoos and so on)… A simple black waterproof strip would be great. That said, we got kicked out of the pool after fifteen minutes today anyway because there was a thunderstorm and it was pouring pretty heavily.

Some sort of thicker electrical tape like strips with a waterproof adheasive would probably work well, and have the comedic effect of looking like traditional black censor bars :P
Oh also, I’m curious as to when you’ve planned to let Nefarious in on your chest tattoo. Mostly just because I’m interested on what you think is the most appropriate age/maturity level.
Skod, things like that are some of the more difficult decisions for me… To be honest, I think I’ll probably discuss it with a “professional” and get some real advice before I tackle it.

what about a Tegaderm patch (or similar), then you can draw on it with a sharpie or something.
i suggest drawing a fruit-basket over the genital area, IMO it would be hillarious! you can switch it up from week to wwek. hehehe.
btw, how well does black sharpie work on skin, over the tattoos? hmm, gotta go try that on myself. if it works, thats what id do.
Props to you for considering your daughter and covering up. Take it from a girl who was exposed to her father’s tattoo of a naked woman screwing a monster from about age 3… it can bring up some seriously confusing ideas especially when one hits the age where she’s interested in sex herself.
When I go swimming tonight I’ll try putting sharpie on under a shirt, and see how it turns out after the swim.

i think the sharpie would stay on as long is there isnt much rubbing/friction, but i would guess that it will bleed a little onto fabrics that make contact.
im gonna keep all my Xrated stuff under my shorts! hehe
Well, the sharpie was a no-go for two reasons… First, it didn’t do full coverage anyway — more like a dark “tint”. Second, it at least 50% washed off with a one hour swim… I think the idea of a black tegaterm is the best one so far.
i know 3M makes some 2″ wide electrical tape called super 88 you could probably use. it’d stay on fine the only problems i can think of are that it’d maybe leave some bandaid style residue and be kind of expensive.
Have you tried spray painting your chest?
I know spray paint don’t come off easily.

having worked in the operating room of a hospital, if you want waterproof that you can’t see through, go for HyTape. it’s called the ‘original pink tape’. it’s a type of waterproof pink tape that’s used to keep all sorts of things in place in the OR. you can buy it online from medical outlets and such and it’s pretty damn sticky. you might want to get a bottle of adhesive remover, too.. just in case. or you can use baby oil to get off the sticky. whichever.

the best stuff to remove plaster stains is orange oil, much better than baby oil or acetone
