Wow Nefarious is good at climbing! I like that she is okay with picking up “creepy crawlies” too. My brother always freaked out at stuff like that and I could never quite understand it! Yay for girls
HI! I’ve been reading your blog(s) for a while now and I can’t help but be stunned at the way you raise your daughter. I really admire what you do and what Nefarious is becoming. If I have kids someday I hope to raise my children like you did. Thumbs up Shannon =)

My daughter would love that frog!
ooo caterpillar! And isn’t that a toad, not a frog? It looks like the big toads the school choir had in a Harry Potter movie. Hee toad! :)
I think you’re right that it’s a toad actually, because it was a desert creature if I remember right…
I agree with Gemma, it’s impressive that Nefarious isn’t creeped out by the caterpillar! I’m 19 and those things still give me the shivers.
Oh, she’s not afraid of anything… almost TOO fearless! She spent a while finding the best place to put it (we found it on the road/path).
When we got back from the zoo we went on a long bikeride in a thunderstorm to top out the day.
No such thing as being too fearless. It will serve her well.
Those are some great pictures. The one of Ari holding the caterpillar in particular is stunning. She is such a beautiful girl.
you take the best pictures shannon!
you and your girlfriend and daughter all look so happy

Shannon, could I use the picture of the orangutans for a father’s day print ad? It’s for a newspaper in Puerto Rico
