The starfish are painted with a mix of rubine red, iridescent silver, and micaceous iron oxide acrylics so it’s a sort of “unphotographable” painting… I haven’t decided yet how to progress in terms of colour scheme, and am currently flip-flopping between a bluish duotone and typical bright psychedelia. This painting is currently unspoken for if anyone reading this feels like making me an advance offer.
All rumors of my limitless wealth from the sale of paintings to gazillionaires aside, even though I am stretching my luck covering my basic bills this month, I picked up three wood panels today for a multi-frame painting that I’m planning of some critters playing catch (two critter panels and a ball panel)… although I still have to finish Cold Water Extraction, I figure I’ll do that quickie first.

If only I were a gazillionaire. This is my favorite.
P.S… Duotone blue. :D
Awesome background. It looks really great. My vote goes with simple colour sceme. The duotone rather than psychedelia. Though i’m sure it will kick ass whichever you decide to go with.
wow… it’s beautiful… I can feel the texture with my eyeballs.. I want to touch it.
Ofthe things I notice about this painting (and others) is the positive expressions on the characters — they all have a smile.
BTW- thisis gonna sound very wierd- its wierd how all the colored pencils made a 5 pointed star below the green blanket on the left side of the photograph.
Jeepers — am I now making that photograph a version of Highlights magazine :P
Ed – Thank you :) Even though there are a few obvious things right now that are difficult to go through, I’m a really happy person and love my life and the people in it and try and express that and embrace that in everything I do.
I’d suggest psychedelic colours – Green and orange would *rock*.
And your positive approach to life is massively inspiring. Keep up the good work.
Thanks :) I ended up sticking with blues — just posted an updated version.
So exactly how much $ do you want for that painting??
Cos’ I’d love to have it!!
Thanks. This painting is actually sold.
