Shannon Larratt is Zentastic

I haven't posted a personal entry in a few days, in part because my camera wasn't working. Anyway, let me start with the funnest part of the week, Nefarious's first day of school. So far she seems to be enjoying it immensely (she's at a Montessori — I went to a normal public school, but Rachel went to a Montessori and swears by it).

I also got a very nice unbirthday present from my father… Since he's moved out onto the ocean, he doesn't need Canadian license plates any more so now I have one of the coolest vanity plates in Ontario… LINUX (and IAM BME as well).

Other than that, I put some strings back on my Warlock (a very appreciated present from Clay Skeets years ago)… The electricals are seriously messed up in it, so it's extremely noisy, and doesn't really stay in tune very well, but it's still great to have strings back on it. Not that I can remember to play much other than a couple Guns'N'Roses and Pink Floyd tunes…

I've got other financial commitments right now, but if I can find some spare cash I think I'm going to pick up a Gibson Firebird (in part because I think it's one of the prettiest shapes). And since I just can't get this damn song out of my head I guess maybe I'll learn it over the weekend. Not that I can sing and play guitar at the same time, so it'll be kind of a half-assed effort.

Anyway, I'm kind of wiped out so I'm going to have to crash out soon and I'll update BME and ModBlog tomorrow. The update's all ready to go, I just don't think I can stay up late enough to get it all posted today.
