"[Yesterday] a chasidic Jewish man ... was stabbed to death ... by a young group of three people, described by witnesses as skinheads. He was helping his son with car trouble when the skinheads attacked him on Bathurst Street. This was not an act of random violence. Nazi skinheads have been testing the waters to spread their racist hate in the streets of Toronto. Racist attacks have already targeted Mosques and Synagogues.Boneheads have felt comfortable enough to start putting on shows in the city, shows that are drawing more and more people. I myself have seen boneheads walking through communities that are predominantly 'of colour' proudly displaying their hate badges. Something needs to be done now to stop the new influx of hate in this city, we cannot allow anymore people to die at the hands of racist thugs. We also cannot rely solely upon law enforcement to do this for us. Those of us who may be old enough to remember the fight against the Heritage Front in Toronto some ten years ago, should understand what I specifically mean by that last point."
