Couldn’t agree more. I spend a lot of time trying hard not to imagine my children living in a Children of Men world…

Dr. Forest Tennant is a god send. It’s a shame there aren’t more doctors like him. Unfortunately he is well into the end of his years and there aren’t many doctors left like him.

Pardon my ignorance, but it’s about five in the morning – I’m not entirely sure what you’re referencing.

being that i have a daughter now i really dont want a terrible disastrous end of the world type event to happen, but i often ponder how much better off the world would be without its virus in sneakers.

i completely agree with you about the damned doctors.
how is it they can have the placement as a “healer” in society if they don’t do anything but doubt and distrust their own patients.
ive actually had this happen to me.
(i had just recently had xrays of my back showing damage to different discs)
doctor: you can get some tylenol from your local retail store, if it doesnt work try the arthritis brand of tylenol
me: ive been taking tylenol and ibuprophin and advil and nothing is helping me at all the pain is really too much for the over the counter meds.
doctor: well what are you doing taking all those medications?
me: ive tried taking them all many times, they just dont work. ive been trying to get the pain to stop completely but nothing is strong enough.
doctor:well the tylenol arthritis brand should be working fine, i dont see why it wouldnt. if youre still experiencing pain then come back and see me in a few weeks.

and that was from a doctor that i had when i was gainfully employed and had insurance. the very same doctor that was farming out hydrocodone out the ass to my mom and dad, both of which were slowly becomming addicted to the hydrocodones constantly upping their dose and needing refills sooner and sooner because he wouldnt simply up their medication and stop just handing out the hydrocodones like candy to them. although my father did have a higher milligram dose than my mom, it was still rediculous how he would go through them so fast. did you know they make pill bottles about as the length of one’s wrist to their elbow? that’s a huge fuckin bottle dude…
needless to say, when i would continuously return, i had to go through the same song n dance for a few times before he finally placed me on Skelaxin, to which after trying the medication and trying to get through the “your body is adjusting to the medication” phase, I explained to him how this “medication” does not work and all it does for pain is add a headache onto the existing back pain and id like to try other methods of pain management and i was told that currently this is the best i can get. when i questioned him why i cant go about getting stronger medications when i and my insurance can pay for whatever it could be, he said from his medical point of view, he couldnt prescribe anything stronger to me for the risk of addiction to stronger medications is too high and he wouldnt want to see me go down that path. way to protect me from myself there, next make all the cars in the world only go ten miles an hour and coat everything on earth in nerf material.

i quit speaking to that bogus jerkoff and luckily my mom started sharing hers with me. eventually the quack lost our whole family as patients because of his lies and bullshit that just pushed us away from him. leaving us doctorless and medicationless.
we just try not to think about the pain n shit now.

sorry for that little rant there…this topic jsut really gets me filled with rage, i hate “doctors”

on a lighter note, i finally got around to posting those photos of the tikis i carved.
i havnt quite figured out how to make everything nice and neat, but all that comes with time i suppose, so try not to mind the double picture posting n whatnot, ill figure that out at a later date.

i love the icecream dollhouse dude, very cool!

Love the dollhouse, I’ve been pondering cardboard furniture lately.

And I am so glad that your spawn lives in a world with a dad who helps her make ice-cream cone dollhouses!

I’m sure you’ve seen this before, but your mention of the ‘pain scale’ made me think of this: thought I’d share it with your other readers. It also reminded me of conversations I’ve had with fellow oldskool peeps about how different our pain tolerance can be from others, and how a “7-8″ for us could be a “17-18″ for others! Maybe you should use fractions with your doctors – like, your med adjustment took you from an 8 to a 7.75…

all the best as always,
:e
