I am a HUGE advocate for Bose. My “out and about” headphones are their earbuds, and sweet jesus I’ve never heard any other set of earbuds come even close to these. They feel horrid, but as soon as I bought them I heard things (like entire two-part harmonies) that I’d never heard before. I can safely say that they’ve changed my life. Best $100 I’ve ever spent.

I haven’t tried them. The only others that I have lots of experience with are sennheisers (which I really like).

Sorry to keep pressing the issue, but I’m torn between purchasing the Beats and Bose QuietComfort noise-canceling headphones.
The Bose sound good and feel extremely solid, but the Beats sounded just fantastic. Do you have any feelings about/experience with the Bose?

Yeah, the Beats are not very well build and crack easily.. But I like the sound.

I got to play with the Beats for a few minutes, and I don’t know if it was because it was an abused display model, but they felt very chinsy, especially compared to other headphones in that price range. Are they fairly solid?

I’ve got it hooked up to a 4/8-CPU machine so I don’t notice any load at all really. That said, the drivers are definitely doing something, as I’ve noticed that photoshop is a little more unstable and seems to be a little more desiring of memory for some reason.

Awesome set up. I’m really considering a mini monitor for all the same reasons. I am really liking the snapscan too.
