I’m also really curious as to what caused that! It didn’t put me off at all, but it does look uncomfortable for the poor dude. :/

I have to say, the most ‘icky’ Wiki I have ever run across is the gangrene and gas gangrene pictures. Those gave me a shiver…

I read the last bit of this post “…I don’t want to lose the few regular readers I have left…” and decided it was about time I thank you for keeping your blog going all of these years. It’s only my personal opinion, but don’t know you most of your readers from the BME days?
So most readers should be accustomed to keloids or heavier stuff =)

the most horrorshow pictures i have ever seen were on a book about tropical cutaneous diseases. the sad thing about it was that most of them were easely treated (i.e. scabs), but got to a terrible state cause the pacients usually live on isolated regions with poor medical treatment.

I was actually preparing for the worst when I clicked the pic it was taking a while to open so I did something else, then clicked back…jesus that is severe and I dunno I gotta disagree with Janet, I think its worse than hairy tongue.

I clicked the wiki link an was going through the list like you shannon..and I had to chuckle at some of the names they give things, such as hairy tongue and kinky hair..

Well, Shannon, as a regular visitor here I must tell you, that personally, I found the “black hairy tongue” in the Wiki far worse than the “worst keloid ever” – and that I have never left Wikipedia as speedy before.

That said, you ain’t gonna get rid of your regulars that way :)
