A friend of mine named his boat (38′ yacht) the Zia after the sequel to that book.

Also, that RC car- those are totally tough, one of my childhood friends used to have one. We’d routinely run it down the stairs in their house.

I so wanted to be that girl and be deserted on an island when I was a kid. Over the past few years, I have thought about that book, but forgot the title so was never able to grab a copy, now that my memory has been refreshed, I will be picking up a copy to have around for the kids to read one day (and honestly, I will be re-reading it as I loved it so much).
