Although it is probably illegal to keep, being a native species and all. Vitamin dusted crickets, constant 68-75 degree (ferenheit) temps, access to fresh water (not tap), a smoke free environment, and a decent low wattage uvb bulb should keep it happy for years. Some also like slugs (hard to find, unless you buy more beans…HA!) and cockroaches from the pet store. I had a happy toad for years before I felt bad for him (figured he had friends) and let him go where I found him. Be prepared for alot of noise during the spring too.
