Having read the article, while I think it raises valid points, it draws weak arguments. I don’t think sole reason why kids are uninterested in sciences is the lack of interesting/impressive experiments, that might be a part of it, but a small part. Just my opinion.

On a side note, I wish you well regarding the health issue.
