I used this good plugin for my firefox. It is called password exporter.

It let you export and import your passwords in csv and xml formats.

Yes! Read her the hobbit! I think I read it when I was like 8 or 9 and then re-read it again in high school before reading the other 3 books. It was nice to have different age perspectives on it plus the gollum in the cartoon movie gave me terrible terrible nightmares.

Dunno if this will be read, but there’s a handy little program called MozBackup. It’ll back up your profile from Firefox, including passwords, and it’ll handle Thunderbird too. (In case that’s what you use for an email client.)

Definitely the Hobbit :) That was a life forming + life affirming book for me. Let’s face it, at the very least, pockets will be more interesting for the rest of your life ;)

My dad read The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings to me and my sister when we were quite young. I can’t remember how old I was when we started, but I know we finished Return of the King around my 8th birthday. I think he must have started when I was about 5 or 6.

I never save passwords in a web browser: I use a nifty shareware program “Password Squirrel”, which uses and stores login/password combinations – and by exporting and importing its data file I’ve survived four different PC migrations with no hassle at all.

You can move your
firefox profile (including all the logins and passwords!) to another
computer. That’s actually very easy and should not put you off from
replacing your machine. Read more: here

Regarding losing your passwords, give a Firefox add-on called Foxmarks (www.foxmarks.com) a go – it’s invaluable for syncing bookmarks and passwords across machines, and should take care of that problem quite neatly.
