I was just showing my aunt some pictures of Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia and comparing it to Angkor Wat before I logged on here. I visited the Angkor temple complex a few years ago. It’s the most amazing place. Spent 4 days bicyling round it and there was still plenty left unseen. It is still used by plenty of people every day. People still live there. I took a walk round Battersea Power Station a few months ago. It is the same sort of place, immense and unused. The roof is gone, and it has birds and an amazing open feeling to it. It just needs trees. It has been deemed a hazard to the public, and will eventually be turned in to a shopping centre.
