That note is so cute. I am struggling hard with being a parent at times. (My son is “autistic”) But reading your posts always helps me focus on the important parts of being with a child.

I find it strange that you have choosen a school that teaches cursive hand writing. When I was at school it was taught and a fountain pen was a must, no Biros. I’m not sure if this is the case because I’ve been out of mandatory school for 5 years now (in higher education). But if this is not the case, an art form shall be lost, its also a sad refelction on society.

P.S. I am refering to English schools.

I prefer block lettering myself, but that is just the architect in me. I even right down things in all capital letters, it’s just habit. Good thing I don’t type that way.
