Even if you aren’t a “professional”. That doesn’t matter. The sincerity of it will come out in the playing, and personally, I think that the water snakes idea captures it perfectly.

It would be awesome to write books about all the weird and awesome things in the world, so kids have something to read that’s not all about morals.

If you make clothes for children, be sure to make them in adult sizes too, I for one would love some of your characters on my t-shirts.

Tonight’s HGTV’s Worlds Most Extreme Homes included a segment on Bill Lishman’s home. An energy efficient underground home in Ontario consisting of seven inter-connected domes. Quite an interesting home on 100 acres.

I second the request for sizes for us silly adults.

I’d love to get art done by mainstream artists for a young audience, as well as art by young people.

Would your idea include art by children, art for children, a combination of the two, or am I way off? I think a combination would be neat, especially if part of it was dedicated to being interactive where children could create masterpieces of their own and learn about different aspects of art depending on their age group (like, one age group learning about colors combining to form different colors, another dedicated to fingerpainting, etc). If you did the clothing as well, you could include an option for kids to get their own artwork put onto a t-shirt.
I dunno….it just sounds so neat and my mind started going crazy!

First I’d like to thank you for all the work you do for the bodymod/art community. I hope all the legal issues you’ve been having are resolved as quickly and as fair as possible.

I really enjoy your art, it just makes me happy whenever i look at it. I’ve often thought about writing children books just because it would be so much fun to illustrate them, and i think i was heavily influenced by the book “where the wild things are” when i was younger.

you seem to have real knack at making killer websites so in closing i’d like to throw an idea out there. artblog! i paint (oils) and airbrush and also love charcoal and colored pencil drawing so i think it would be a fun site.

good luck with your homesteading, it looks beautiful out there. in louisiana i am still wearing shorts and muscle shirt

Don’t ever stop Shannon, because you’re wonderful. You’re an amazing artist.

I think a children’s art museum is a great idea.

BTW- while I only know a fraction about the artist Dali, he created many things that might have been considered odd/ unusual/ etc….. YET, that same person became well known as an artist. My point being — just because a person creates things that are different than the norm (or is eccentric as I am) just means they like to be different from the norm- nothing else.

And I do think that having a children’s art museum is a good idea! Art stimulates the mind – and helps with creativity and imagination. And with creativity and imagination there is no limit to what nifty inventions can be made! :)

And….. keep the artistic posts coming please! I enjoy looking at the variety of art you create:)

p.s. PLEASE …. when you complete the OWLS III … PLEASE post a high res image of it: that looks AWESOME and I’d like to have a pic of the completed image.

Thanks! :)
